March 2008 - Thunder Finishes his Amateur Field Championship! In three consecutive weekend trials, Thunder brings home three first placements (including two majors) and one third place. Congratulations to our son Drew for handling him to the third place - Drew's first ribbon at a field trial, and a horseback trial to boot! Now, on to finishing Thunder's FC, and also on to Eureka! October 2005 - Thunder wins the Arizona Pointing Dog Club Tournament of Champions for the third consecutive year!!! In the club's 30+ year history, no dog has ever won the TOC twice, let alone three times back to back. He also holds the club record for the youngest dog to ever win the TOC (at less than two years of age) and also still holds the record for the youngest dog to win a hunter class event (at age 8 months). Jean is also the only female handler to have won the TOC in the club's history. Thunder is a powerfully muscled athlete
with excellent conformation and a commanding presence. He earned his call name of "Thunder"
from the sound he makes as he tears up the ground as he hunts - this dog
can sustain speeds in excess of 25 mph for 10 miles! But at home
